A GTCC student mentor and a GTCC athlete help Out of the Garden Project

Akir Khan is a prominent member of the local Muslim community, a mentor for several students at º£½ÇÂÒÂ×, and former chairman of the Piedmont Interfaith Council.
GTCC student mentor and Out of the Garden Project volunteer-turned-board chairman, Akir Khan, is helping the group reach more people, mostly recently with the Refugee Resettlement Market for refugees who are new to the U.S. GTCC basketball player Sameer Qureshi is a volunteer for the group. “As student-athletes, we can do something more,” said Qureshi.
