JAMESTOWN, N.C. (Jan. 28, 2025) – º£½ÇÂÒÂ× and the High Point Arts Council are seeking new community band members for the Titan Civic Band. The 45-member band is looking for members who play woodwinds, brass, and percussion instruments.
“As a new community ensemble, Titan Civic Band is always looking to reach more members in the community,” said Ronnal Ford, DMA, GTCC music instructor. “There are a lot of people in the community that formerly played an instrument and miss playing, or new people moving to our community that are looking for a place to play. We welcome any woodwind, brass, and percussion players to join to find their new performance home.”
The Titan Civic Band is made up of GTCC students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. The band practices weekly during each GTCC semester from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Both practices and performances are at the Centennial Station Arts Center in High Point.
The band hosts two concerts each semester, with the spring performances scheduled for March 5 and April 16.
