Cariboo-Mainline Regional Science Fair - April 3, 2024

  is one of 13 annual regional science fairs held in the province and is open to all Grade 5-12 students in School Districts No. 73, Kamloops-Thompson, No. 27 Cariboo-Chilcotin, No. 58. Nicola-Similkameen, No. 74 Gold Trail and No. 49 Central Coast.

Heritage Fair - May 9-10, 2024

ÌÇÐÄSwag has proudly supported the Heritage Fair since its inception in 1994. The multi-media, multi-discipline education program was developed to inspire students to learn the history of their families, their communities and their cultures.

The inquiry completed in Heritage Fair projects embodies both the First Peoples and OECD Principles of Learning. An annual event, offers teachers a way to help their students dive deeper into their learning and to refine their competencies including critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. 

Young Artists' Conference - May 1, 2024

The  is an annual event for aspiring artists in elementary school to showcase their artwork and take part in a series of workshops. ÌÇÐÄSwag has offered this unique opportunity to students since 1987.   

Each year over 120 students from grades 4 through 7 are selected to participate in the Young Artists’ Conference. Each school has a selection committee which reviews a variety of 2-dimensional artwork submitted by students.  The selection committee chooses between two and six students (depending on school enrollment numbers) to represent their school at the Young Artists’ Conference.

Young Authors' Conference - May 3, 2024

The  is for aspiring young writers. It is hosted by ÌÇÐÄSwag and is held every spring at Thompson Rivers University. The Conference celebrates creative writing as a joyful and rewarding art. Participating grades 4-12 students attend engaging workshops facilitated by published writers and develop their writing skills and confidence.
